The Pacific Northwest Regional Science Fair 2012 will be held on April 13th and April 14th, 2012 at Hazelton Secondary School in Hazelton, BC. Schools and Districts are encouraged to register an average of 10-15 projects selected from the winners of their school science fair.

Schedule

Friday, April 13, 2012
  • 3:00PM to 7:00PM - Set Up Projects, Gymnasium
  • 7:00PM to 10:00PM - Preliminary Judging (No Students or Parents)
Saturday, April 14, 2012
  • 9:00AM to 11:35AM - Students sit by their projects for judges' interviews
  • 12 Noon - 1:00 PM - Lunch (provided)
  • 1:00PM - 3:00 PM - Gymnasium closed. Students will participate in pre-arranged amazing scientific activities.
  • 3:00PM - 4:00PM - Public Viewing (projects open to students and public)
  • 4:00PM - 5:00PM - Awards Ceremony
  • 5:00PM - 5:30PM - Public Viewing, please leave projects for 1/2 hour after ceremony
  • 5:30PM - Project Takedown

    For courtesy to the public, hosts and sponsors, all projects must remain on display until 5:30 PM, then be taken down and removed.
    Once your project is down, if you can spend an extra few minutes helping with tables and litter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Selected projects will be offered the opportunity to compete in The Canada-Wide Science Fair which will be held at the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown, PEI. May 12th - 19st, 2012.

Projects will be competing against others in their category:
  • Elementary (Grade 1-6)
  • Junior (Grades 7-8)
  • Intermediate (Grades 9-10)
  • Senior (Grades 11-12)
